Founder of Score Follower, Dan Tramte (b. 1985) receives thousands of unique compositions annually to be included in his team's public archive of score videos. Across his accounts, including the score follower TikTok, his videos receive upwards of 5M views per month, despite their supposedly niche appeal. Not only is Tramte's project “One of the most valuable new music resources on the net, indeed anywhere,” according to musicologist Tim Rutherford-Johnson, but he and his team has packaged the internal tools they've used to run this project over the past decade into a new product called scorefol.io. With 7k compositions uploaded across 5k users over the past year, and institutional subscribers including Stanford University, Harvard University, the University of California, San Diego, & University of Pennsylvania, scorefol.io is a quickly growing product in the space of music composition and score videos.
Tramte is currently a solutions engineer at the texting platform, Prompt.io. Prior to that, he worked in academia, teaching music technology, creative coding, composition, theory/aural skills, & media (video games & anime).
